Town Council grants over £20k to good causes

Voluntary groups across the town are celebrating as Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council granted over £20,000 to a range of good causes.

The Amenities, Leisure and Community Services committee met last week (Wednesday 17th January) and agreed grants to seven separate organisations.

A further £16,200 for the Sea Cadets, has been referred to the full meeting of the Town Council, due to the size of the grant.

This brings a total amount of £89,200 that the Town Council has granted in this financial year.

Cllr Charlotte Hodivala is the Chair of the Amenities, Leisure and Community Services. She commented: “The Town Council is able to support many organisations, which in turn support members of our community and provide many different opportunities for our young people. We are pleased to be able to support residents of our Royal Town in this way.”
