The Town Council has now entered the period known as purdah – this is the run up to local elections which will take place on Thursday 3rd May 2018.
Business will continue as usual, but while Councillors are campaigning in the elections, no major policy decisions will be taken and no major announcements will be made.
In this time the Town Council will not retweet or share political opinion or content posted by political parties. We are allowed to respond to factually inaccurate criticism, for example around budgets or how decisions were taken, and remove political comments from our social media pages.
We would encourage residents to find out who their local candidates are and to vote on 3rd May. We will publish the names and parties of candidates once these are declared, alongside the new ward maps.
