The Community Grant Scheme was set up by the Town Council in 2016/17.
Grants are allocated across the four wards of the town and its primary aim is to give additional support to as many as possible of the voluntary and community groups that operate in the Sutton Coldfield area. These groups provide crucial assistance to the residents, and their families, who need it the most and ultimately make our town a better place to live for everyone.
Groups eligible for the Community Grant Fund need to show how they support the Town Councils’ aims and objectives.
Qualifying organisations must fulfil at least 2 of the below:
- Support the health and wellbeing of the local community creating a socially inclusive and caring community.
- Protect and improve the environment of the Town
- Support and contribute to the economic, culture and leisure life of the Town
- Preserve and promote the unique identity and heritage of Royal Sutton Coldfield
- Make Sutton Coldfield a better place to live and work
- Deliver projects that create a legacy for future residents
The Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council Community Grant fund is now open.
Or telephone 0121 663 1765 or Email email@example.com for application form.
£100,000 has been approved (£25,000 for each of the four Sutton wards) in this current financial year. These funds are for local groups who want to make Royal Sutton Coldfield an even better place to live and work.
The Town Council would welcome applications from groups who meet the above criteria and want to deliver projects that make a difference for our local community and create a legacy for our future residents.
In its first year of existence the Fund allocated a total of £88,000 to local support groups. The funds were utilised in very different ways, reaching far and wide across our tow.
