Sutton Coldfield Town Council runs four separate committees to cover all aspects of our town’s infrastructure and finances and the wellbeing of our constituents.
We hold an annual meeting to review, amend and introduce the town council’s strategy.

The Full Council is responsible for managing the financial commitments of the Council and for overseeing and approving appointments, strategy and policy.
AMENITIES, LEISURE & COMMUNITY SERVICES
The Amenities, Leisure and Community Services Committee is concerned with the upkeep and development of our recreational facilities (including charges and grants) and ensuring the Town Council fulfil their Health & Safety/legislative responsibilities for all residents.
FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES
All financial considerations, including budgetary control, fixed assets, leases and service level considerations, fall under the umbrella of the Finance and General Purpose Committee.
PLANNING & HIGHWAYS
The Highways and Planning Committee act as the statutory consultee on all planning applications. They are also responsible for licensing matters and can influence changes to local planning policies as well as comment to other authorities on transport, pedestrian and regeneration issues.
